HOW DO I USE TEXT MESSAGING?
Text messaging allows you to send messages to, and receive messages from, another capable mobile phone. Text messages can be up to 160 characters in length.
To send a text message to another capable mobile phone, start a new message and type or select the address of the receiving mobile phone. The address is the ten-digit mobile phone number (area code + phone number).
Next, begin typing your message. The numbers on your keypad correspond to specific letters. Each number is used to type three or four specific letters and one specific number:
A, B, C, 2
D, E, F, 3
G, H, I, 4
J, K, L, 5
M, N, O, 6
P, Q, R, S, 7
T, U, V, 8
W, X, Y, Z, 9
If you wish to type an R, for example, you would press the
key three times to cycle from P to Q to R. The
and
keys type their respective numbers, as well as certain punctuation marks. See your owner's manual for more details.
Once you have finished typing your message, press your phone's SEND key to send the message.
